Installation
Buying your wood fire is the easy part; now let us help you with the rest!
We specialise in 3 types of installations:
- Freestanding
- Insert, into a masonry chimney
- Zero Clearance Inbuilt, built into a timber cavity
All wood fires need to have a building consent approved prior to installation. The costs vary depending on which district you live in. The council can take between 2 to 3 weeks for the approval to be given.
At WOODFIRES R US we can apply for the consent on the owner's behalf, once we receive the consent we can usually arrange the installation within a week. We will install your wood fire to manufactures specifications & council requirements, which include the E 2 Flashing code & (Australian & New Zealand standards) AS/NZS 2918:2001.

We have Registered Certified Installers (NZHHA)
We offer a 5 year written guarantee on our workmanship (conditions apply).
John is the owner and has been selling and installing woodfires for the past 29 years. He also is a registered installer.
